Comfort in sharing self-collected digital info among U.S. consumers 2014*

This survey displays the level of comfort among U.S. adults in sharing self-collected medical digital information and forgoing an initial in-person appointment, as of July 2014. Some 11 percent of these adults responded that they were very comfortable with sharing information and forgoing an initial appointment. Medical data has begun its transfer into the electronic world and into cloud storage. Younger generations tend to be more willing to share their data, likely due to their familiarity with online culture.
