This statistic shows the differences in the share of boys in care and not in care who have reached the education levels expected of them in reading, writing and mathematics at Key Stage 1 (KS1) in England in 2015. The biggest gap was in writing, as 27 percent more male pupils in care did not reach level 2 as expected.
