From the second half of 2019 to the first half of 2020, almost 88,700 shopping apps were added to Google Play and the Apple App Store. This represents a 17 percent growth compared to the previous period, where only 75,865 shopping apps were added to the app stores. Gaming app releases saw the biggest decline.
