As of May 2024, Taiwan was ranked as having the highest degree of internet freedom among all countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, scoring 79 index points. In contrast, China and Myanmar were ranked the lowest, each scoring just nine index points in terms of internet freedom for 2024.
