Ice cream value sales in selected European countries 2013/14

This statistic shows the sales value of ice cream in selected European countries for the 12 month period ending June 29, 2014. In Germany, ice cream sales were worth around 1.3 billion euros during the period under consideration. Other countries included in the data are France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Germany has the largest market for frozen desserts of the countries surveyed in Europe, although the United Kingdom has the highest per capita spend of the big five markets on frozen food in general. Ice cream is the second most popular product category within frozen food, both in terms of retail volume sales and sales value. The percentage change in retail volume sales of frozen desserts and ice cream, however, varies between countries.
