Molson Coors Brewing Company was the leading company within the brewing industry in Canada as of October 2019, controlling one third of the market. Anheuser-Busch InBev is their main competitor with a market share of 16.5 percent. The market share of all other brewing companies was 50.2 percent.

Revenue generated through the brewing industry reached approximately 6.43 billion U.S. dollars in 2018 and this figure is estimated to rise to around 6.77 billion U.S. dollars by 2023. The number of employees in the industry is also expected to increase to around 11,000 by 2023.

This figure towers above all others, making Ontario the brewing capital of Canada; Quebec ranked in second place with a brewing GDP of around 680 million Canadian dollars.
