Elderly care activity time distribution in the U.S. 2012-2013
This statistic displays the distribution of time spent by the U.S. population that provides care on an average day for someone age 65 and older due to conditions related to aging, in 2012-2013. During this time, 7.1 percent of time was spent caring for and helping household members. In the United States, 16 percent of the population provide care for the elderly, with those between the age of 45 and 64 years providing the most care.
