Use of QR codes as a payment method worldwide 2020-2021

A majority of respondents from various countries across the world indicated they had used QR code for payments for the first in early 2021. More than than eight out of 10 respondents had now at least once in their life performed such a transaction. This was roughly twice as high as a figure from a previous survey held in September 2020 - with the source adding that the early months of 2021 especially were a time when most consumers used this payment type for the first time.
