Baby products sales share in the Netherlands 2014/15, by category

This statistic shows the sales value share of baby consumables in the Netherlands in the 12 month period ending June 28, 2015, by category. During this period, baby food accounted for 11.8 percent of sales within the baby consumables market. Together, Dutch customers spent approximately 70 million euros on baby food this year, as can be seen in this statistic. How much households spent annually on baby products was largely dependent on the type of household, as is visible here. As can be expected, households with children were responsible for the bulk of the turnover in the baby products market. The trend towards organic products is visible for baby food as well. According to a recent study, approximately eight percent of the baby food sold now is organic baby food, and this percentage will likely increase to more than ten percent in 2020.
