This statistic presents the opinion of the working population of the United Kingdom in 2014 with regards to obstacles that influence retirement saving plans. Lack of money was reported as an obstacle by 62 percent of the sample. A further 30 percent said that the lack of money is not an obstacle for them for making retirement saving investments.

This question was only asked of the 900 not retired people in the sample.
The source adds the following information: "The survey did not include the unemployed, long-term incapacitated, homemakers, or the self-employed as each of these groups faces specific challenges in planning for retirement which requires specific public policy interventions."
