Those aged 16 to 24 were the most likely to be victims of violent crime at 5.8 percent, while those aged 25 to 44 were more likely to be victims of property crime at 14.5 percent. The figures suggest that as a person gets older, he is statistically less likely to become a victim of violent or property crime.
