Between 2012 and 2019, the unemployment rate in Catalonia decreased continuously from 50.4 percent to 26.62 percent among individuals aged 16 to 24, eventually reaching 21.7 percent in 2023. Throughout most of the considered period, the age group of 55 and over had the lowest unemployment rate.
