During this period, approximately 7.3 million square feet of office spaces were under construction in the City submarket in London. It is estimated that the space under construction has increased by 29 percent from the third quarter of 2019. This can be explained with the increase in new starts of construction after the finalization of Brexit, as well as in the delay of completions due to the coronavirus (covid-19) crisis.
