According to the results of the Yougov survey, 31 percent of non-beer fans prefer lager to ale. Among beer fans preferences are split, as 47 percent prefer ale and 49 percent prefer lager.
'Beer fans' refers to respondents who said they like beer a fair amount or a lot. 'Non-beer fans' are those who said they do not like it very much or at all.
