This statistic shows the results of a survey question asking cask ale drinkers and publicans in the United Kingdom (UK), what they believe characterises craft beer. Of respondents, 19 percent of drinkers and 32 percent of publicans selling ales characterised craft beer as very hoppy, American style, ales. Over half of drinkers and publicans however agreed craft beer can be characterised as beer from a small brewer and/or beer produced in small batches or as limited edition.
