This statistic displays the number of all real estate companies and investment trusts trading on the London Stock Exchange from June 2015 to December 2016 (figures for the last trading day of the month). This figure includes real estate services companies, holdings and development as well as real estate investment trusts of various kind (REITs). In December 2016, a total of 120 real estate companies traded on LSE, with 77 representing holdings and development. As of 2018 the London Stock Exchange changed their reporting methods and grouped real estate companies into the larger sector of finance companies, which also includes banks and insurance companies.
