This statistic illustrates the number of Netflix paying streaming subscribers in the United Kingdom (UK) from December 2012 to December 2015 with a forecast to 2020. In September 2014, there were an estimated three million Netflix paying streaming subscribers in the UK, a figure that more than doubled compared to roughly two years earlier in December 2012, when there were 1.4 million paying UK subscribers to the online service. As of July 2015, subscription numbers were forecast to grow further and reach 9.5 million by 2020. The UK Netflix catalogue is one of the best stocked in all of Europe with users having access to 697 TV series and 2,023 movies. During a survey conducted between March and May 2016, 27 percent of UK respondents stated to use Netflix, either to consume or to share digital content.
