During the period of consideration, 47.6 percent of albums sold in the United Kingdom were from UK musicians, while the U.S. artists' album sales accounted for 39.2 percent. In 2016, the U.S. share of sales increased due to high albums popularity of such U.S. artists as Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Twenty One Pilots.
