A survey conducted in 2022 among Canadian adults revealed that around 55 percent of respondents did not trust social media platforms to keep their personal data safe. A further 40 percent said they doubted smart speakers when it came to data privacy, while around 31 percent weren't convinced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies were trustworthy.
