This statistic shows largest 15 assisted living chains in the United States based on number of assisted living facilities in 2015. In this year, Five Star Quality Care, based in Newton, Maine, had a total of 159 facilities. In Americans over the age of 65, almost 70 percent will require long-term care. As the U.S. senior population grows, there will be increased pressure from the quantity and quality of long-term health care facilities.
