The majority of cable TV revenue worldwide comes from the digital sector, which generated over 76 billion U.S. dollars of revenue in 2014, in comparison to the 14.4 billion U.S. dollars made in the analog sector. This gap in revenue is expected to continue into the future as digital cable TV revenue is expected to reach 80.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 and analog cable TV revenue will continue to fall to 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
