This statistic presents the results of a phone survey conducted by Gallup among American adults who were 18 years and older in March and November 2013. Survey respondents were asked how they would vote on a law that would raise the federal minimum wage in the United States from 7.25 to 9 U.S. dollars an hour. Some 76 percent of respondents in November said they would vote for increasing it, up from 71 percent in March.
Suppose that on Election Day you could vote on key issues as well as candidates. Would you vote for or against a law that would raise the general minimum wage to 9 U.S. dollars an hour?
