This survey displays the number of online crime incidents against businesses in England and Wales in 2018, by industry sector and theft type. Computer virus related crimes were experienced most by businesses in wholesale and retail, with 10,281 such crimes occurring.

*Only refers to crimes that were able to be categorised. Crimes falling in to the category "other" not depicted. The number of incidents falling in to the "other"category include:
-Wholesale and retail: 100,853 incidents;
-Agriculture, Forestry & Fishing: 2,999 incidents; and
-Accommodation and food: 72 incidents.
**According to the source, the figures shown for website vandalism relate only to those respondents that said they had a website, i.e. the incidence rates are per 1,000 premises with a website, rather than per 1,000 premises in general. This means the unweighted base for these numbers is smaller than the unweighted bases for other crime types. Similarly, the estimates for individual online crime types do not add up to the total shown, as the unweighted base for the total is the number of premises that were asked any of the online crime questions.
