Water consumption in Hong Kong 2009-2022
In 2022, the water consumption in Hong Kong amounted to over a billion cubic meters, 10 million more than in the previous year. Due to its limited groundwater resources, the region depends on water imports from mainland China's Guangdong province. Around 80 percent of Hong Kong's water comes from there.
