* Respondents were asked: "The following are some statements which people have made about speciality foods e.g. traditional farmhouse cheese, cured meat e.g. salami, handmade chocolate etc. Using a scale from 1 to 5, where 5 = agree strongly and 1 = disagree strongly, please tell me whether you agree or disagree with each of these statements about speciality food." The figures are the percentage of 'agree strongly' and 'agree slightly' responses.

Speciality foods are defined by the source as handmade or hand crafted food typically using quality ingredients from local or small scale producers.
