Naval officers in training under SMarT1 scheme in the United Kingdom (UK) 2003-2018
This statistic shows the number of naval officer cadets in training under the Support for Maritime Training scheme as well as the number of new entrants to the scheme each year in the United Kingdom between 2003/04 and 2017/18. The number of cadet trainee naval officers increased steadily almost doubling between 2003/04 and 2012/13. The number of new entrants also increased somewhat over the years reaching its peak of 930 in 2008/09.
In 2017/18, there were 1,760 officer cadets in training, compared with 750 new SMarT1 entrants.
