The statistic depicts the results of an online survey conducted by A.T. Kearney among more than 1,500 U.S. shoppers in October 2015. The survey respondents, who were 18 years and older, were asked about their definition of the description "local food". About 65 percent of respondents defined the term as food that is grown or manufactured within 100 miles.
