This statistic shows the distribution of reasons for rejected payer prescriptions in selected classes in the U.S. in 2013. Quantity limits were responsible for 5.3 percent of rejected payer prescriptions in 2013 in the United States. Rejected prescriptions can also be replaced by a different drug, often a branded drug can be substituted with a generic drug.
