In 2023, Hard Rock Hotels was rated the best upper upscale hotel brand in North America. The company’s score was 723 out of 1,000. Margaritaville Hotels and Resorts took second place in the ranking. Other high-ranking brands included Le Méridien and Omni Hotels and Resorts.

Brands within the various hotel brand segments are rated using a customer satisfaction index score. Within the upscale hotel brand segment, Cambria Hotels and Suites and AC Hotels by Marriott were among the highest-rated brands in North America as of May 2023. Some of the highest rated budget hotel brands in North America were Americas Best Value Inn, and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham. Both had a guest satisfaction score of 637 points out of 1,000.
