This statistic shows a distribution of occasions when consumers snacked on crisps in the United Kingdom and Ireland, by location. According to the survey published in 2014, 19 percent of crisp 'snacking occasions' were outside the home. Almost half of these occasions were at work, while 8 percent consumed crisps in school or at university (it is worth noting that the data only includes respondents over 16 years of age, thus school pupils younger than 16 are not included here).

Qualitative: four focus groups with 16-35 year olds in Ireland and several online discussion groups in the UK, with 56 respondents broken down by life stage and region.
Quantitative: online survey across Ireland and the UK with nationally represetative sample of 3,000 respondents.
