The survey was fielded online by Harris Interactive in March 2014. About 55 percent of Baby Boomers in the U.S. considered packaged food as a very or somewhat important driver for their purchasing decision.

Millennials are aged between 18 and 36 years.
Gen Xers are aged between 37 and 48 years.
Baby Boomers are aged between 49 and 67 years.
Matures are older than 68 years.
