The index calculates an average score of impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation and reputation to rank companies. In 2019, Marks & Spencer had the highest Brand Index score of the leading high street fashion retailers in the UK. In terms of overall customer satisfaction, the handmade cosmetics brand Lush came out on top.
