Cîroc vodka
Cîroc was founded by Jean-Sebastien Robicquet in France. The British company, Diageo, approached him to make vodka made from grapes instead of grain or potatoes. The vodka brand initially launched in North American nightclubs and venues in 2003, however it struggled in sales. In 2007, Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was one of the highest earning hip-hop artists in 2019, agreed to become a brand ambassador for the product. Since then, the brand has significantly improved in sales, reaching a peak of 2.6 million 9-liter cases in 2014 and 2015. In 2019, the vodka brand spent 4.33 million U.S. dollars in advertising in the United States. In 2022, it sold approximately 1.38 million 9-liter cases in the country. The vodka brand has also introduced several flavored variants, such as peach, coconut, and pineapple.
