This statistic presents the use of VPNs and proxy servers among internet users worldwide in the first quarter of 2018. At that time, approximately 26 percent global online users utilized a VPN or proxy server to access the internet. With 30 percent usage penetration, Asia Pacific was ranked first among the regions.
