Germany was the main export destination of natural gas from Russia, at 23.7 percent of the total export volume of that commodity via pipelines in 2021. Next was Turkey, whose exports of Russian natural gas exceeded 13 percent of the total. Russia's gas exports to Turkey amounted to 0.95 trillion cubic feet in 2021.
