This statistic shows the amount of air freight from domestic and international flights to and from airports in the United Kingdom (UK) between 2007 and 2020. In the period of consideration, domestic air freight made up a small portion of total air freight in the UK. A clear drop in international freight handling can be seen in 2009, however, the amount of international freight being handled has risen since then. In 2016, domestic air freight has seen its lowest volume throughout these years, at 74,200 metric tons. However, domestic freight volume has been slowly increasing since 2017, reaching a total of 82,800 metric tons in 2020.
