Share of vehicles speeding on dual carriageways in Great Britain 2014

This statistic shows the share of vehicles exceeding the speed limit on dual carriageways in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014. The speed limit on dual carriageways is 70 mph for motorcycles, cars and light goods vehicles, 60 mph for cars towing, buses and coaches and some heavy goods vehicles, and 50 mph for other heavy goods vehicles. 78 percent of all heavy good vehicles exceeded the speed limit with 43 percent of motorcycles and buses/coaches doing so. 15 percent of motorcycles were travelling at 80 mph or over.
