A higher share of men than women were buying games online in Denmark, from for example Steam, app stores or console gaming stores, according to a survey from 2019. Nearly 30 percent of male respondents and nine percent of female respondents who played digital games in the past three months stated to buy games via online stores. Over 40 percent of 16 to-24-year-olds bought video games online, while the share was only two percent in the age group from 75 years and older.
