This statistic shows the number of practical driving tests taken in Great Britain in 2017/18, broken down by age group and number of attempts. Among 16 to 20 year olds, nearly 408 thousand first attempt tests were taken that year. Over 203 thousand people between 21 and 30 made their first attempt to pass the driving test in this year.
