Looking at the average billionaire's wealth worldwide by asset allocation across age groups, a clear majority of the wealth among billionaires below 50 years of age was made up by public holdings. Moreover, around 40 percent of the wealth among the other two age groups was the same, while more than 30 percent of the assets of the latter two age groups were bound up in private holdings. Banking and financing is the industry to which the highest share of billionaires devotes most of their time.
