This graph represents the usage of the four types of alternative fuel used in the UK in new cars registered in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Significant growth can be seen between 2013 and 2015 in the pure electric and plug-in hybrid market segments, while the petrol/electric and diesel/electric sectors were shown to decline. With a share of 3.3 percent on the vehicle market, plug-in hybrids were fairly uncommon in 2013. In 2015, plug-in hybrid vehicle make for almost a quarter of the overall vehicle market in the UK. Plug-in-hybrids reached a share of 24.4 percent in 2015.
