This statistic displays the results of a survey which investigated the opportunities and challenges of in-store deli/prepared food offerings. More than 2,500 U.S. shoppers were polled regarding the type of food/ingredients they generally buy for their meal needs from their local supermarkets. Some 62 percent of survey respondents indicated to purchase both ingredients and deli/prepared food items in order to satisfy their meal cravings.
