This statistic shows the time span in which domestic leisure trips were booked and taken in Great Britain in 2012. 26 percent booked and took their trip in the same month, while 10 percent did so within 4-6 months.
* Respondents include all those who booked a leisure trip from January to December 2012. Trips were made within Great Britain and included at least one paid overnight stay.
Tracking by GfK followed respondents' search at home and website activity. Surveys were completed shortly after the purchase, based on online and offline decision making.
** According to the report, parts of the purchase data for 2012 was incomplete. This data has been substituted with corresponding data from 2013 for a full annual picture. The statistic is therefore based on data from January - February 2012, March - June 2013, July - December 2012.
