The profit before tax of Barclays' corporate and investment bank business segment increased overall between 2014 and 2023, reaching 4.1 billion British pounds by 2023. This was a decrease of roughly 180 million British pounds in comparison to 2022, but profit remained well above the values reported prior to 2021.
