This statistic presents the share of internet users who say that their online behavior would be seriously affected if they found out that others could access and use their personal information online. During a 2014 survey of daily internet users, it was found that 48 percent of respondents felt that their online behavior would be seriously affected if individuals not acquainted with them could access and use their personal information online. Further survey results indicated that 81 percent of users were not using aliases when commenting or expressing personal opinion online.
