The survey was conducted among restaurant chains in the United States from segments including quick service, bakery, cafe, fast casual, casual, family, pizza, white tablecloth, and others. The chains ranged in size from 10 to more than 1,000 units.
The questions applied to stores that had been operating for at least 12 months.
The survey does not indicate the number of participants.
