This statistic displays the regional distribution of overnight domestic holiday trips taken to the countryside in Great Britain in 2012. The figures also show a comparison to the destination of all domestic holiday trips. The South West and the North West of England were the most visited destinations for countryside holidays, accounting for 21 percent and 20 percent of domestic overnight holiday trips respectively. The most visited regions on all domestic overnight trips by British tourists (for all travel purposes) showed different results.
