Teenagers: prevalence of cyber dating abuse 2012, by sexual orientation

This statistic presents victimization and perpetration rates of cyber dating abuse among teens in a current or recent relationship, by sexual orientation. During the 2012 survey, it was found that 37.2 percent of teens who identified as LGBTQ found themselves the victim of cyber dating abuse from their partner, in comparison to 25.7 percent of heterosexual-identifying teens. Cyber dating abuse includes the sending or taking of unwanted naked pictures or the unauthorised use of the victim's social networking account.
