This statistic presents the percentage of students in the United States who were cyber bullied, divided by the reports of criminal victimization at school. During the school year 2012-13, 10.8 percent of students between the ages of 12 and 18 years who were cyber bullied reported any criminal victimization* at their school. Cyber bullying includes unwanted contact by threatening or insulting the respondent via digital communications as well as sharing private information online.

**Includes attempted and completed purse snatching, completed pickpocketing, and all attempted and completed thefts, excluding motor vehicle theft. Theft does not include robbery, in which the threat or use of force is involved.
