U.S. female social media usage during cultural events on TV 2014
This statistic presents the reasons for U.S. female social media users to access social media while watching cultural events on televion. During a February 2014 survey, it was found that 79.4 percent of respondents did so because they liked to see other people's reactions. Liveblogging or livetweeting and the subsequent online discussions are popular ways for people to connect over tv shows and events.
